M&IW executives assume new roles and align their Strategic Business Units and Centers of Excellence teams to create an integrated, one-team mentality.
Caledonia, Wisconsin (March 18, 2022) – As part of our Journey to World Class, Meetings & Incentives Worldwide (M&IW) is excited to share some organizational changes that will position us as a leader in the industry and support our business objectives.
Two-in-the-Box Co-CEO Leadership Model
Five years ago, we introduced a unique Co-CEO leadership model referred to as two-in-the-box. While most companies adhere to more traditional C-level roles, this structure enabled Tina Madden, CPA, and Jean Johnson, CMP, to complement each other’s strengths and maintain a balanced line of sight for the organization. That structure served us well during a period of rapid, organic growth.
Executive Leadership Steps into New Roles
As we look to the future, we are investing in our team with an approach that emphasizes workforce empowerment. Jean Johnson will assume the role of Chief People Officer. “We are at an important crossroad in attracting and retaining the best and brightest professionals in the industry. I have always been passionate about this area of our business to ensure we embrace our culture and live our values. I am excited to turn my attention to recruitment, training, employee engagement, and DEI along with our Global Giveback and Corporate Sustainability & Responsibility programs,” said Jean.
With this change, Tina Madden will step into the role of Chief Executive Officer. “To better serve our customers and support our organization, we are aligning our Strategic Business Units and Centers of Excellence teams to create an integrated, one-team mentality. Together, we are focused on growth, innovation, talent, and excellence. We are well-positioned to continue elevating the services and value we bring customers,” said Tina.
Restructuring Event Management Services
To support this restructuring, we are especially pleased to announce that Jill Gallagher has returned to Meetings & Incentives Worldwide and joins the executive leadership team as Vice President, Event Management Services. She will be leading the Event Experience, Attendee Experience, and Group Air Travel teams. Her top priorities will be people development, staffing, service, and helping drive a one-team focus with the Customer Success team and the entire organization. “I’m excited to listen, learn, and make an impact. It’s great to be back home!” said Jill.
Possessing a rare combination of leadership capability, functional expertise, future focus, and, most of all, heart, Jill Gallagher is an event industry veteran who’s passionate about inspiring people to believe and achieve. Her greatest pleasure is nurturing others to blossom and flourish.
Jill has led corporate, agency, and client teams successfully in the development and execution of inspirational live and digital programming, particularly in the biopharma market. Her hard-working, genuine, entrepreneurial spirit is firmly rooted in her youth as a child of Midwestern small business owners. She strives to create raving fans of her customers and coworkers and to continually improve everything she touches by fixing things before they are broken. Her greatest personal passion is motherhood.
Jill regularly returns to her favorite quote, “I thought about quitting, but then I remembered who was watching.” This quote led her to create her own personal motto: There is always somebody watching—be their inspiration.
