Caledonia, Wisconsin (June 22, 2014) – Meetings & Incentives Worldwide (M&IW), has been selected as the recipient of the highly coveted 2014 Cvent Planner Award in the Power of the Platform category. Winners were announced at Cvent’s Corporate Meetings Summit, an elite event attended by more than 1,000 senior-level travel, meeting and procurement professionals from around the world. M&IW was especially honored to win the award after taking home Cvent’s 2013 Savvy Sourcing award last year and the only third party meeting management company to win thus far.

“The Cvent Planner awards recognize high-performing clients who exemplify success in leveraging multiple solutions to exceed client goals. “M&IW is an innovator and have been able to transform their meetings and events by using Cvent” said Brian Ludwig, Senior Vice President of Sales at Cvent. “M&IW is one of the best users of our entire system and driving immeasurable value for their clients.”

“This is a tremendous honor for us” said David Guse, Vice President of IT. “To win the Power of the Platform Award is a tribute to our entire team using the system and driving enhancements. From sourcing to budgets to attendee management, our teams count on the Cvent system every day, which allows us to provide exceptional service to our clients. Our commitment to world-class event management starts with having the right partners and the right tools.”

David Sachs, Director of SMM Analytics, was a speaker at the event in a full session entitled Benchmarking your Meetings Program: Turning Data into Insights & Intelligence. The session provided a look at what comes after you’ve collected all the data on your meetings and events. He shared how to take the data collected and turn it into a success story that can be used for program expansion and/or refinement. The session also reviewed some key benchmarking statistics to measure success.
