MEETINGS & INCENTIVES WORLDWIDE NAMED TO 7TH ANNUAL
“CMI 25” LIST BY MEETINGSNET/CORPORATE & INCENTIVES MAGAZINE
Caledonia, Wisconsin (September 10, 2013) – Meetings & Incentives Worldwide, Inc. (M&I), has been named to the 2013 “CMI 25” list, the 7th annual directory of the largest and most influential full-service meeting and incentive travel management companies focused on the U.S. corporate meetings and events industry.
“As a group, the CMI 25 companies play a significant role in the U.S. meetings economy. During 2012, they planned 62,582 corporate meetings and 4,133 incentive travel programs, driving a total of 8.5 million room nights at hotels and resorts around the world. Corporations rely on these independent meeting and incentive companies for their experience, creativity, and, increasingly, understanding of meeting technologies for mobile apps, virtual events, and strategic meetings management,” said Sue Hatch, executive editor of MeetingsNet/corporate&incentives. “The CMI 25 is the most comprehensive listing of the largest independent planners serving the corporate world.” The CMI 25 list will be published in the September 2013 issue of MeetingsNet/corporate&incentives and on www.meetingsnet.com.
“It is an honor to be recognized as a CMI 25 company for the fifth consecutive year,” said Jean Johnson, CMP, president and CEO of Meetings & Incentives Worldwide. M&I provides innovative meeting management solutions that address business challenges and drive results for our clients. This past year, M&I became certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise, added a director-level position dedicated to strategic meetings management analytics, and increased staffing for the healthcare operations and reporting team.
M&I will continue its growth plan with the addition of key account management positions to ensure the highest level of service to our valued clients. Additionally, M&I is expanding its presence into the UK to support their global business. “We are excited about our growth and future opportunities. We are also committed to staying nimble and being flexible so that we can continue to provide high-touch, high-quality service for our customers,” said Tina Madden, partner and CFO.
The magazine’s editors selected CMI 25 companies based on several factors, including the number of meetings and incentive travel programs managed in 2012 and the total number of room nights represented by those meetings and incentives. They also considered the number of full-time employees at each company, as well as the percentage of the company’s 2012 revenues that came from organizing corporate meetings and incentives, versus association meetings or other sources.

ONE OF THE FASTEST GROWING FIRMS IN SOUTHEASTERN WISCONSIN
Caledonia, Wisconsin (August 16, 2013) – Meetings & Incentives Worldwide, Inc. (M&I), a global meeting and event management company, is among the winners of The Business Journal’s Fastest Growing Firms award. In all, the Milwaukee Business Journal is honoring 30 southeastern Wisconsin firms. All of the firms saw substantial growth between 2010 and 2012.
The Business Journal received more than 90 nominations for the award and the winners were chosen based on their percentage of growth over the past three years. “Despite the many obstacles that companies face in their day-to-day operations, including a struggling economy, these firms have been able to overcome those obstacles and remain on track,” said Mark Kass, The Business Journal’s editor-in-chief.
“Similar to most companies, M&I was impacted by economics. Our clients experienced considerable cost pressures related to their travel and event budgets. We leveraged our expertise and buying power to negotiate more aggressive pricing and cost savings. MEETINGS & INCENTIVES WORLDWIDE RECEIVES NATIONAL
CERTIFICATION AS A WOMEN’S BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (WBE)
Caledonia, Wisconsin (May 9, 2013) – Meetings & Incentives Worldwide, Inc. (M&I), a global meeting, incentive and association management company, announced today that it has received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the WBDC-Chicago, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
WBENC’s national standard of certification is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women. The women business owners must further direct policy, fiscal, and operational matters for the company. Finally, the women business owners must have the ability to perform in the company’s area of specialty without reliance on the finances or resources of a non-women owned entity.
“We are very excited to offer this additional value to our current and future clients committed to supplier diversity programs,” said Jean Johnson, CMP, President and CEO. By including women-owned businesses among their vendors, corporations, and government agencies, organizations demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier/vendor diversity programs.
The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council is the nation’s largest third party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the United States. WBENC is a resource for the more than 700 US companies and government agencies that rely on WBENC’s certification as an integral part of their supplier diversity programs.
