In 2014, M&IW was recognized as one of the fastest-growing, privately-held companies in America and made the Inc. 5000 List. At the conference, Jean Johnson, Chief People Officer, was inspired by Adam Grant, the bestselling author of Give and Take. She set an ambitious goal to create a culture of giving that would engage all our employees worldwide and launched our Global Giveback program.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has always been a part of our core values and how we operate. Over the years, we have supported causes such as Relay for Life, Make-A-Wish, Rise Against Hunger and so many more. Our employees want a sense of purpose and the ability to make a difference in their communities and causes close to their hearts. We incorporate sustainable development into our business model by providing paid time to volunteer and a matching donation program.
Social accountability is expressed through our belief in the value of diversity through principles, practices, and accountability. We are committed to having a diverse work environment that backs its words with accountable actions. Environmental impact ensures events are planned and executed with sustainability in mind. We have certified sustainability experts within M&IW to lead the effort. Our team members bring forth opportunities to positively impact our environment which includes everything from venue selection, meeting materials, locally-sourced produce and equipment, and donation programs.
