Corporate responsibility has always been a part of Meetings & Incentives Worldwide’s core values and how we operate. In today’s competitive staffing environment, it has also taken on an increasingly strategic role, helping us manage and create value in working at our company. We recognize our long-term success depends on our ability to gain access to the best talent and retaining great people.
Social accountability is expressed through our belief in the value of diversity through principles, practices and accountability. This begins with our employee manual, which states, “We learn from and respect the cultures in which our clients’ work. We value and demonstrate respect for the uniqueness of individuals and the varied perspectives and talents they provide. We have an inclusive work environment and actively embrace a diversity of people, ideas, talents and experiences.” Our principles endorse a spirit of inclusion and foster an environment where everyone can reach their potential. We are committed to being recognized as having a diverse work environment that backs its words with accountable actions. We also have a supplier diversity strategy to seek out and utilize women-owned and minority suppliers internally and within our customers’ meetings and events.
Environmental impact ensures every meeting and event is planned and executed to minimize the carbon footprint. We have an assigned expert within Meetings & Incentives Worldwide to lead the effort and continually make improvements. We also developed an extensive checklist to ensure sustainability is at the core of the planning process. This factors in everything from venue selection through meeting materials and locally-sourced produce and equipment.
Meetings & Incentives Worldwide is committed to reducing the environmental impact of meetings around the world. More and more of our clients have implemented corporate initiatives to reduce their carbon footprint and look to our professional planning team to help them develop recycle, reduce, and re-use initiatives they can incorporate into their programs. We are excited to partner with our clients to make a positive impact within our industry.
